RFC
[edit]Hi, How can a open a new request for comment?علی مکریانی (talk) 07:36, 4 September 2020 (UTC)
- @علی مکریانی: You have to create a sub-page of Requests for comment, like [[Requests for comment/EXAMPLETITLE]]. You also need to ensure you add Template:Rfc subpage to the top. You have enough edits to start one. --IWI (talk) 07:42, 4 September 2020 (UTC)
Tagging locked global account
[edit]Hello IWI, per practice here it is not to tag unless a steward tag those pages, there is no need per DENY and etc. Hope you understand where I am coming from. Early on I also tag for such users but was adviced not too, it's a common issues with users. We had some discussion on the meta noticeboards and it was decided not to tag. Thanks. Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 08:31, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Camouflaged Mirage: Yes I understand. Sorry about that and thanks for letting me know. --IWI (talk) 08:48, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
- It's okay. The only ones that are ok to tag are foundation banned users (Office actions) - on the main account only as well as those community banned users (main account) where a link to the community ban discussion will be very helpful for future review. Thanks. :) Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 09:46, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
The 2021 Community Wishlist Survey is now open! This survey is the process where communities decide what the Community Tech team should work on over the next year. We encourage everyone to submit proposals until the deadline on 30 November, or comment on other proposals to help make them better. The communities will vote on the proposals between 8 December and 21 December.
The Community Tech team is focused on tools for experienced Wikimedia editors. You can write proposals in any language, and we will translate them for you. Thank you, and we look forward to seeing your proposals!

We invite all registered users to vote on the 2021 Community Wishlist Survey. You can vote from now until 21 December for as many different wishes as you want.
In the Survey, wishes for new and improved tools for experienced editors are collected. After the voting, we will do our best to grant your wishes. We will start with the most popular ones.
We, the Community Tech, are one of the Wikimedia Foundation teams. We create and improve editing and wiki moderation tools. What we work on is decided based on results of the Community Wishlist Survey. Once a year, you can submit wishes. After two weeks, you can vote on the ones that you're most interested in. Next, we choose wishes from the survey to work on. Some of the wishes may be granted by volunteer developers or other teams.
We are waiting for your votes. Thank you!

Help
[edit]Hi Its me, TTP1233, could you please explain how it works?TTP1233 (talk) 08:43, 20 January 2021 (UTC)
- @TTP1233: I do not understand; explain how what works? --IWI (talk) 08:45, 20 January 2021 (UTC)
- Explain how this metawiki works and what contributions I can make here? TTP1233 (talk) 08:47, 20 January 2021 (UTC)
- @TTP1233: Metawiki is just a place where all communities can coordinate. It's not really a place to contribute to. There are places like SRG where you can ask for stewards to global lock/block accounts/IPs that are abusing many wikis. --IWI (talk) 08:52, 20 January 2021 (UTC)

Steward confirmations
[edit]Hello. I am aware that I absolutely cannot !vote in the Steward elections. Can I !vote in the Steward confirmations? Are there any eligibility requirements for those? Thanks, Belwine • 💬 • 📜 18:05, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
- @Belwine: Since the confirmations aren't a vote, the only requirements are "an account that has edits (on any wiki) before 05 February", which I'm pretty sure your account does. --IWI (talk) 18:08, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
- Ok, thanks. —Belwine • 💬 • 📜 18:09, 11 February 2021 (UTC)

- Oh, and on the global sysop one.. CptViraj and Savh are now global sysops. Thanks, --Belwine (talk) 17:15, 10 March 2021 (UTC)

Signature
[edit]Have you considered changing your signature on meta? TWGlobal automatically puts -- before your signature, and so your signature on steward requests looks a little strange. --Belwine (talk) 20:56, 6 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Belwine: Indeed that does look a bit strange. I have removed the "--" here on meta. Thanks, IWI (talk) 13:51, 8 April 2021 (UTC)
Invitation for Functionary consultation 2021
[edit]Greetings SWMT member,
I'm letting you know in advance about a meeting I'd like to invite you to regarding the Universal Code of Conduct and the community's ownership of its future enforcement. I'm still in the process of putting together the details, but I wanted to share the date with you: 10 July, 2021. I do not have a time on this date yet, but I will let you soon. We have created a meta page with basic information. Please take a look at the meta page and sign up your name under the appropriate section.
Thank you for your time.--BAnand (WMF) 03:21, 3 June 2021 (UTC)
Articles
[edit]I think simple:Ima Keithel has no issues now. The sentences are too much simple enough that I think they can't be simplified further. Please remove the issue templates after having a review. Haoreima (talk) 11:47, 6 October 2021 (UTC)
