Regia Transport Electric Chisinau, 93 are women? They represent approximately 14% of all drivers. The number of women drivers is constantly increasing. This has a length of 34.9 km per rotation (round trip) and a duration of approximately 134 minutes. Along the route we have 62 stations. ✅The longest bus route in Chisinau is route no. 31 "Tighina street - town Vadul lui Vodă". With a length of 57.5 km per rotation (round trip) and a duration of approximately 140 minutes, this route ensures an extensive connection between the center of Chisinau and the locality of Vadul lui Vodă. 👉 Discover with us how public transport in Chisinau has evolved. 📌🐎Did you know that the first means of public transport appeared 136 years ago? In April 1888, the city Duma issued a decree stating that tram transportation with mechanical traction would be introduced in the capital of the guberniya, as was typical in that period. 🛤Mounted on tracks, the trams were pulled by 2-3 horses. Due to its affordability, tram travel gradually became the most democratic means of urban transport. 🚃In 1913, horse-drawn trams were replaced by electric trams, and the total length of tram routes reached 14 km. The number of carriages used for passenger transport increased to 30 units. 🏙In 1949, the first 6 trolleybuses were put into operation on the main artery of the city, currently Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Boulevard. 🚎The trolleybuses ran on a fixed route with a length of 6 km. Approximately 24,000 passengers were transported daily.
