Yesterday, we had an amazing session in the "Checkmate and Connect" (C&C) community, blending chess with strategic business thinking once again. The event was divided into two enriching parts: Part 1: Chess Time 🕒 First 30 minutes: Attendees enjoyed playing chess, setting the stage for a strategic mindset. 🕒 Second 30 minutes: We conducted a chess lesson, helping members sharpen their game and think ahead—skills essential for business too! Part 2: Prioritization Workshop (Choose Your Game) Our unique "Choose Your Game" workshop kicked off with a focus on self-discovery and prioritization: 1️⃣ Self-Reflection Through Chess Pieces: Each attendee selected a chess piece that resonated with their personality, sharing common traits and reflecting on how this helps them better understand themselves in life and business. 2️⃣ Goal Prioritization Exercise: This was the heart of the workshop. Attendees chose 4 goals they wished to work on but struggled to prioritize. Each goal was represented by a pawn, and through answering 8 "yes or no" questions, attendees advanced their pawns across the board. By the end, they were able to identify the most important goal to focus on. 3️⃣ Feedback Session Using Chess Pieces: Attendees wrapped up by selecting a chess piece that symbolized their level of satisfaction and provided feedback on how the community can continue to support them in their journey. 🌟 Another Successful Chess x Business Workshop at Checkmate and Connect! 🌟 Yesterday, our Checkmate & Connect (C&C) community gathered for another insightful Chess x Business workshop. The event began with some casual networking and engaging chess games among the attendees, setting the perfect tone for the session. Workshop Breakdown: 1️⃣ Chess Piece Projection: We kicked off the workshop by choosing a random chess piece and projecting its qualities onto our own personalities. This exercise allowed us to reflect on how these qualities, both positive and negative, are mirrored in our own lives and business practices. 2️⃣ Define Your King and the Enemy King: Next, we split into two groups for an exercise called "Define Your King and the Enemy King." We identified the most important element needed in our business (our King) and the biggest obstacle we need to overcome (the Enemy King). This part of the workshop helped us to clearly define our goals and the challenges we face. 3️⃣ Identify the Queen: In the final part, we focused on identifying our "Queen"—the most important strength we currently possess. This exercise emphasized recognizing and leveraging our strengths to advance in our business journey. Yesterday, our vibrant "Checkmate & Connect" (C&C) community gathered for an insightful and productive meetup, held in two engaging parts. 1️⃣: Discovering the World of UX Design We kicked off with an enlightening presentation by Bachir Cherrat, who introduced us to the fascinating world of UX Design. His session allowed our members to explore the principles and practices that make user experiences seamless and enjoyable. A huge thank you to Bachir for his time and expertise! 2️⃣: Gambit Challenge Recap In the second part, we recapped our 8-week "Gambit" challenge. We shared our achievements, the progress we made, and, most importantly, discussed the power of feedback. We emphasized how constructive feedback is instrumental in our development and growth as a community. 📢 Prepare Your Capsule Interviews We concluded with a call for members to prepare their speeches for a new initiative: capsule interviews. These interviews will be realized by Bouassa Zakaria, a professional filmmaker, who has helped us generate some amazing content that we will share with the community later. Yesterday, our Checkmate & Connect (C&C) community came together for another inspiring workshop, blending the strategic game of chess with insightful business strategies. This session was extra special as we kicked off by celebrating the PhD graduation of our member, Meryem El Moutassim, PhD.! 🎉 Workshop Breakdown: ♟️ Marketing Insights: We began with a joyous celebration of Meryem's PhD achievement. She then shared valuable insights from her thesis, providing us with a deep dive into marketing principles. Her introduction set a strong foundation for the workshop, emphasizing the importance of understanding market dynamics and customer behavior. ♟️Strategic Marketing Vision Using Chess Pieces: In the second part, we delved into how to visualize our marketing strategies using chess pieces . Each participant selected a chess piece that represented their marketing approach. This exercise encouraged members to think strategically about their market positioning and the roles different marketing tactics play. Sharing these choices fostered a collaborative environment where everyone could learn from each other's perspectives. ♟️Identifying Our "King" and the "Adversary King": The third part of the workshop was about deep self-reflection. Participants identified their "King", symbolizing the most valuable aspect crucial for achieving their goals. This could be anything from a unique selling proposition to a key resource or capability. Simultaneously, they defined the "Adversary King", representing the primary obstacle they must overcome. This exercise was instrumental in helping members recognize and articulate their core strengths and challenges, paving the way for strategic planning and problem-solving. As always, our facilitator Hicham Houmane guided us through these exercises, ensuring an engaging and thought-provoking experience.
