Wikidata:Wikidata at the 34th Chaos Communication Congress
As usual, the Wikidata team and community will be present at the 34C3 (Q45799888) (Leipzig (Q2079), 27-30 December 2017). Here's a page summarizing all the information if you want to find us there.
Where to find us?
editIn the hall 2 the following organizations will share an assembly:
- Wikimedia Deutschland (Q8288): Assembly:Wikimedia Deutschland
- Open Knowledge Foundation Germany (Q27812362): Assembly:Open Knowledge Assembly
- Jugend hackt (Q27812003): Assembly:Jugend hackt
When you're in hall 2, find the Jugendhackt/Wikimedia Deutchland assembly (on C3nav). We're located behind the cube with a rocket. The assembly is organized like a flat: you can meet people in the living-room, and the workshops will take place in the Eßzimmer (kitchen).
Who is there?
editIf you're a Wikidata editor (or developing a tool built on Wikidata, reusing data, building queries...) and attending the Congress, feel free to add yourself there. Let's meet and chat!
- Léa Lacroix (WMDE) - @Auregann - talk to me about: Wikidata community, WikidataCon, annoying bugs on Wikidata
- Lucas Werkmeister (WMDE) - @LucasWerkmeistr - talk to me about: SPARQL & Wikidata Query Service, constraint checks
- Jens Ohlig (WMDE) - @johl - talk to me about: Data partnerships
- Daniel Kinzler (WMDE) - @brightbyte - talk to me about: Wikibase & Mediawiki development

What about the questions?
editMaybe you found one of our stickers with a weird question on it. Well, now it's time for the answers.
These questions are actually queries, created in SPARQL with the Query Service. The answer is a list of results based on the data existing in Wikidata. Click on "edit the query" on the bottom left corner of the screen to see the query. You can modify the existing queries and build your own!
- How many popes had children? (author)
- Which national flags depict stars?
- How many places are named like the Earth in their local language?
- What is the largest city with a female mayor?
- Which films were set in a future which is now the past? (author - results are incomplete! Feel free to improve Wikidata, e.g. by using the films described in the Wikipedia List of stories set in a future now past)
- Wo in der Nähe gibt’s einen Geldautomat meiner Bankgruppe? (author)
- Wie alt sind Mitglieder des 19. Bundestags durchschnittlich? (author)
- Which books were written by two Davids? (source)
- Which transgender characters were played by transgender actors? (author - results are incomplete! Feel free to improve Wikidata with more knowledge about transgender actors :) )
- Which occupations are most gender-imbalanced (in Wikidata)? (author)
- Which awards were won by more women than men? (author)
- Which president was executed during their term? (author)
Please note that the lists can contain errors or be incomplete. That's because Wikidata is a community-driven wiki, and some information may be missing... Good news: you can help improving the content! If you see something incorrect or missing, feel free to edit the related items or create new ones. Have a look at the introduction to Wikidata to learn more. If you have any questions, feel free to come to us, or let a message on the Project Chat.
