Volt Switch (Japanese: ボルトチェンジ Volt Change) is a damage-dealing Electric-type move introduced in Generation V.

It is:

Effect

Volt Switch deals damage and then switches the user out. The same Pokémon cannot be sent back out after using Volt Switch. The user will not be switched out if the user is the only Pokémon in the party that is able to battle, if Volt Switch fails to hit the target, if the opponent is not affected by Volt Switch, if Volt Switch triggers an opponent's Wimp Out or Emergency Exit Ability, or if using Volt Switch ends the battle. If Volt Switch knocks out an opposing Trainer's Pokémon, the next Pokémon sent out by the user will not be counted for additional experience (although if it is holding an Amulet Coin or Luck Incense, it will be counted for that).

If the foe Pokémon uses Pursuit on the same turn Volt Switch is used, Pursuit will deal normal damage if the foe is faster, or double damage if the foe is slower than the user.

Volt Switch may be used to switch out of Ingrain, but Ingrain's effects will not be passed on. Volt Switch can also be used to switch out even if the user is under the effect of Arena Trap, Magnet Pull, Shadow Tag, Mean Look, Spider Web, or Block. Volt Switch will not force a switch if the user is holding a Red Card or the target is holding an Eject Button.

Volt Switch can be used as part of a Contest Spectacular combination, with the user gaining an extra three appeal points if Charge was used in the prior turn.

Pokémon UNITE

In Pokémon UNITE, Volt Switch is Zeraora's first move. It is obtained by reaching level 6 and upgrading Agility into it instead of Spark. The user charges forward, damaging enemies in their path and increasing their basic attack speed for a short time. Activating this again within 3s will teleport the user to their original location. At level 12, the increased basic attack speed duration and move's damage are increased.

The user releases a ball of electricity. After making its attack, the user rushes back to switch places with an ally Pokémon.
Pokémon Method
User First Used In Notes
Emolga Emolga puts its arms together in front of it and a yellow orb of electricity appears in front of it. It then opens its arms and fires the orb of electricity at the opponent. When the orb hits the opponent, the opponent's body becomes surrounded by yellow electricity; or, Emolga raises its arm into the air and a yellow orb of electricity with yellow electricity around it forms above it. It then hits the opponent with it, causing a flash of bright light. Then, Emolga rushes past a nearby Trainer and another Pokémon comes out of its Poké Ball and onto the battlefield. Sometimes, Emolga can choose not to send out another Pokémon when the attack is used.
