Natee (Japanese: ネイぴょん Naipyon), known as Xatee in Chuang Yi's translations as a Xatu, is an Xatu that Crystal owns in Pokémon Adventures. As of With a Little Help From Hitmonchan, she is level 60 and her Characteristic is "somewhat vain."
History
Gold, Silver & Crystal arc
Five years prior to the start of the Gold, Silver & Crystal arc, Crystal first met Natee when she was training to be a capture pro. It is there where an Arcanine was rampaging out of control due to an eye injury. Due to this, Crystal fell and broke her arms. Crystal added Natee to her team after the incident and the Tiny Bird Pokémon helped Crystal while she recovered by using her psychic powers to detect enemies in the surrounding area.
Natee first appeared as a Natu in Slugging It Out with Slugma alongside Crystal's other Pokémon to help prove her capturing skills to Professor Oak.
In A Flaaffy Kerfuffle, Nattee helped Crystal capture a Flaaffy and a Dunsparce drifting on a motor boat. Natee attacks the Pokémon with a Psychic attack, allowing Crystal to capture Flaaffy. After Dunsparce sank the boat, Natee used Fly to save her Trainer and Megaree from sinking into the water.
In Surrounded by Staryu, Natee helped Bill escape from the inside of a group of Staryu. Crystal transported Natee in her Pokéball to Bill using the Pokémon Portable Transporter and had the Tiny Bird Pokémon attack the Staryu with Drill Peck. The Staryu quickly disperse and are caught by Crystal.
In Off Course with Corsola, Crystal is accidentally captured by Lt. Surge's Magneton and taken to his submarine. The submarine is soon attacked by a herd of Corsola. Natee keeps the submarine steady with her psychic powers and then takes out the herd with a Psychic attack, allowing Crystal to capture them.
In Lugia and Ho-Oh on the Loose (Part 2), Natee battled the Masked Man's Lugia. Hoping to separate the Diving Pokémon from the Masked Man's Ho-Oh, Crystal has Natee distract Lugia by flying around it and using Future Sight. Luiga and Ho-Oh quickly corner Gold and Lugia is then damaged by Natee's Future Sight, giving Gold enough time to escape.
Emerald arc
Sometime prior to Verily Vanquishing Vileplume I, Natee evolved into a Xatu.
In The Final Battle II, Natee distracted Guile Hideout from using Jirachi. After Crystal tasks Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald to learn the ultimate moves, she joins Natee in distracting Guild Hideout and the monster Kyogre. Shortly after, Natee and Crystal are defeated.
HeartGold & SoulSilver arc
In With a Little Help From Hitmonchan, Natee helped Crystal in her attempt to capture Arceus. Despite their efforts Natee was eventually defeated and Crystal failed to capture the Alpha Pokémon.
In All About Arceus VII, Natee battled Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina while Gold tries to calm down Arceus.
Personality and characteristics
Natee is a resourceful Pokémon, being used by Crystal for many situations. She is able to foretell the future in battle and other situations and is useful for investigations. The Mystic Pokémon is mainly used for her ability to fly Crystal around in and out of battle. Natee is a focused Pokémon, seen being act in the moment while looking ahead into the future to adapt. When used in battle, Crystal favors her for her quick speed, aerial mobility, and psychic powers. Crystal highly trusts Natee, using her to battle against many Legendary Pokémon such as Lugia, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, and Arceus.
