Tia (Japanese: ティア Tia) is a character in Pokémon Duel. She is the younger sister of Luca, and is the primary salesperson of Carmonte Island's figure shop.

Personality

Tia is kind and talkative with friends, but shy and socially awkward around strangers, or when making requests. She has difficulty with angry customers at the figure shop where she works, quickly apologizing and stuttering her words when confronted. According to Luca, he has to "bail [her] out" very often. Tia looks up to her brother Luca, but also playfully describes him as "dorky".

Plot

The player first encounters Tia in Ulex, where Luca rescues her from a pair of hooligans trying to harass her at the shop. While initially shy, Tia asks to exchange device codes with the player, and she sends them a free shop item as thanks for becoming friends with Luca.

When the player clears Château de Rosa, Tia follows along to watch the player's progress, and gives them another shop item as congratulations. She also attempts to ask if she can touch Carlo, the player's AI device, but the awkwardness leads her to drop the topic.

As the player ascends Atlantis, Tia and her superior Marabelle investigate a trend of faulty chips among the figures sold in the shop. They find evidence implicating the Roger family for sabotage, and Tia covertly relays this info to the player and Luca.

While the player is dueling through Olivia Palace, Joe of the Rogers kidnaps Tia under orders of Don Roger, and contacts Luca to negotiate their terms. Roger tasks Luca with obtaining Carlo from the player as well as Another from Luca himself, in exchange for Tia's freedom. Luca complies, and a short time afterwards, the personality of Another in Luca's AI device awakens. Another negotiates with Don Roger to release Tia, under the condition that Another would further Roger's cause to change PFG for the better. Afterwards, Joe brings Tia to a plaza and releases her. She returns to the shop, where Marabelle is relieved to see her safe.
