:My main reason for implementing these changes is to hopefully make it easier for readers to follow. The way I see it, the bullet points are meant to convey dialogue progression in a chronological sort of way. The battles themselves occur between certain dialogue, but the dialogue contained within that battle may be presented in random order, if they are even activated at all. So, in a loose sense, it's almost treating them like dialogue options (which are formatted with bold text and indentation). I believe it also helps alleviate quote pages from having an excess of bullet points under certain location sections, especially for notable Trainers in SwSh and SV which have a lot more in-battle quotes than Trainers in previous generations. [[Hop/Quotes|Hop's quote page]] already has his in-battle quotes formatted under single asterisks; since he has so much dialogue already, the formatting highlights his battle quotes at a glance.
