Price
|
In the Generation V games, the Nanab Berry can be sold to the gourmet maniac on Route 5 for $500.
Effect
In all core series games apart from Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! and Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Nanab Berries cannot be used directly and only have a use as an ingredient, such as for Pokéblocks and Poffins.
In Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!, a Nanab Berry can be used from the Bag to reduce the chances of a wild Pokémon moving when catching. This consumes the Nanab Berry. If the wild Pokémon breaks out of a Poké Ball, the Berry's effect disappears. A wild Pokémon cannot eat a Berry while another Berry is still in effect.
In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, it restores the Pokémon's HP by 1/3 of its maximum HP. A wild Pokémon that consumes a Nanab Berry will move slower in the overworld.

Pokémon GO
The Nanab Berry was added to Pokémon GO on February 16, 2017. Prior to December 2, 2020, using a Nanab Berry on a wild Pokémon made it only 5% as likely to attack or dodge, making it easier to hit it with a Poké Ball. From December 2, 2020, onward, the Nanab Berry fully removes any possibility that the Pokémon might deflect or dodge the Poké Ball. The Berry's effect lasts until the Pokémon breaks out of a thrown ball.
When fed to a Gym defender, a Nanab Berry restores motivation 25% more than a Razz or Pinap Berry does.
