Release information

This card was released as one of the Nintendo Black Star Promos, available first in the Value Box, released in October 2006, then as one of two possible promotional cards offered in the Trainer's Challenge Set, released in late 2006. In Japan, it was released as an insert with the Mew-themed Official Card File, available at participating Toys "R" Us and Ito-Yokado stores during the month of June 2005. This card was reprinted in Japan as another one of the PCG-P Promotional cards with new artwork by the same artist as part of a McDonald's campaign in July 2005.

Trivia

This card is very similar to the Wizards Black Star Promo Mew, with the only major differences being the Energy requirements and the coin flip.

Origin

Psywave is a move in the Pokémon games that Mew can learn in Generation I via TM46.
