It flashes the light-emitting spots on its body, which drains its opponent's will to fight. It takes the opportunity to scuttle away and hide.

This card was included in the Forbidden Light expansion with artwork by sowsow, first released in the Japanese expansion of the same name. In Japan, it was reprinted in the Psychic Mewtwo-GX Deck, the GX Ultra Shiny subset, the Tag Team GX Premium Trainer Box, and in the Espeon & Deoxys-GX Tag Team GX Starter Set. A new print with artwork by Shigenori Negishi featuring the Shiny version of Inkay was included in the Hidden Fates expansion, which was also included in the Japanese GX Ultra Shiny subset. The Forbidden Light print was reprinted in the Japanese Tag All Stars subset.

Hypnosis is a move in the Pokémon games that Inkay can learn. This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Y. The Hidden Fates print features the Shiny version of Inkay.
