Draft:Sinnoh Badges
In Sinnoh, the Sinnoh League's eight Gyms give out badges which can qualify Trainers for the right to challenge the Elite Four. In some media outside of the games, it has been shown that there are more than eight badges and Gyms in Sinnoh.

Identifiable badges
In games set in Sinnoh, the level of Pokémon that will obey the player goes up by 20 levels for every two badges the player earns, starting from level 10 with no badges and ending at 100 (instead of 90) for the final badge.
In Pokémon Diamond and Pearl (and their remakes), after the Forest Badge, the order of the next three badges is as shown below (Cobble, Fen, Relic); but in Pokémon Platinum, their order is Relic, Cobble, Fen.
Acquiring badges also increases the stock available at Poké Marts.

Unidentified badges
Some media depict a number of badges beyond the eight from the games.
- Pokémon the Series
- Fighting Ire with Fire!: when Barry shows off the eight badges he has, three of them are not recognizable.
- Last Call—First Round!: when Nando shows his seven badges to indicate his progress, he has two unknown badges that match two of Barry's.
- An Old Family Blend!: as the Sinnoh League opening ceremonies begin, a screen outside the stadium is showing badges, starting with the standard eight in order, and then followed by the three unknown badges.
