Together with our partners, we work throughout the country to reach children and their families through our Health, Nutrition, WASH, Education, Child Protection and Emergency Response interventions. Recently, UNICEF Libya Representative Mr. Mohammed Fayyazi participated in a joint mission to #Kufra with Deputy Special Representative for the Secretary General for Libya Ms. Georgette Gagnon & UN agencies. Acknowledging the openness & facilitation of the local authorities, which helped to see the incoming #Sudanese #children, parents & listen to their needs. So far UNICEF Libya has reached 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ people incl. 3️⃣5️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ children Sudanese across 🇱🇾 with #WASH #health #education #protection services. More support needed to prioritize immunization, nutrition support and disease outbreak prevention. #ForEveryChild

UNICEF Libya, in partnership with Libya's Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA) and Social Solidarity Fund (SSF), organized a 5-day TRANSFORM training program for 33 frontline workers from various Libyan cities. Developed by UNICEF, International Labour Organization, UNDP Libya, and other partners, the TRANSFORM initiative aims to enhance skills and knowledge in social protection systems. The training provided Libyan workers with insights into key social protection concepts, program design, implementation, and evaluation, supporting the development of a robust social protection system to better address the needs of vulnerable populations. UNICEF thanks the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation for their support ! #ForEveryChild

UNICEF, in partnership with Asarya Training provided flexible cash assistance to 5️⃣1️⃣ families incl. 3️⃣7️⃣0️⃣ people in eastern Libya. Over a period of three months, families identified by the Cash and Market Working Group could purchase essential WASH items to meet their basic needs. Strengthening Access to Safe Drinking Water in Flood-Affected Areas ! Today, UNICEF delivered essential water treatment chemicals and spare parts to the General Desalination Company (GDC) in Derna and Soussa, allowing them to provide safe drinking water for the next 12 months to 150,000people including 60,000 children.
