And TOUCH DOWN! 👨🚀🚀 Europe’s “Moon on Earth” landed its very first opening! 🌑 🔹 Designed to accurately simulate the unique conditions found on the surface of the Moon, LUNA is a result of a joint collaboration between European Space Agency - ESA and the German Aerospace Center (DLR). 🔹 This open hub, accessible to international space agencies, academia, researchers, and industries, will facilitate research, development, testing of space technologies and provide a massive training environment for astronauts under realistic conditions. ESA astronauts Thomas Pesquet and Matthias Maurer were among the first to venture into the facility's simulation capabilities, making a giant leap for Europe’s space exploration efforts. 🔹 Bo Byloos, LSA’s Manager of Education, Exploration & Science Lead Education, and Bob Lamboray, LSA’s Senior Lead for Exploration & Space Resources, had the privilege of visiting the site during its inauguration. They expressed their excitement as LUNA is set to serve as a testing ground for the latest space exploration robotics technology – developed by private companies – ultimately enabling access to and utilization of space resources. We are looking forward to seeing how LUNA will be able to advance Luxembourg's space industry, both at the public research and commercial development levels. 🙌 👉 For further information, check out the official website : https://lnkd.in/e4ZnEVy6 #MoononEarth #Artemis #SpaceResources ispace, inc.
