#JDNproject • Rebuilding a highway over train tracks with minimal hindrance to traffic? Check! Yesterday, we reopened the E40 highway to all traffic 💪. Thorough renovations were necessary to keep the E40 safe and fit for modern traffic. The Flemish government engaged Soetaert, STADSBADER NV and us to rebuild two bridges in Erpe-Mere: one crossing above train tracks, the other one spanning across the highway itself. And all this while the motorway remains accessible to traffic. How did we rebuild these two bridges you ask? Read all about it on our latest release of our Focus magazine. You can find the link below! 👇 • #jandenul #JDNfocus #DNAdenul #morethanbuilding #civilconstruction #E40

#JDNproject • 🌊 Introducing BELREEFS: the first large-scale offshore project for restoration of oyster reefs in the Belgian North Sea! 🐚💙 Oysters are known as ‘ecosystem engineers’, they form reefs that serve as habitat for other marine life and are therefore crucial for biodiversity. Most of these reefs have however disappeared in the 19th and 20th century, due to human influence and oyster diseases. BELREEFS is the first offshore project aiming to restore these reefs at this scale in the Belgian North Sea. We are taking up this complex challenge together with our partners Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences, Mantis Consulting, Shells and Valves, working for FOD Volksgezondheid, Veiligheid van de Voedselketen en Leefmilieu en LIFE Belgium for Biodiversity. #biodiversity #oysterreefs #innovation #LIFE #BELREEFS

#JDNproject • ⚡Announcing a new project to bring green energy ashore in Taiwan!⚡ We signed a preferred supplier agreement with Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners for transport and installation of about 90km of subsea cables for the Fengmiao I wind farm in Taiwan. Fengmiao I has a capacity of 500MW, providing power for half a million households. Our cable-laying vessel Willem de Vlamingh will do the job! Wouter Vermeersch, Manager Offshore Cables: "This project brings us another step closer to a world driven by renewable energy. We are a big believer in the energy transition and have the knowledge, skills and equipment to make it a reality." • #energytransition #offshoreenergy #renewables #offshore #WindEnergy #GreenEnergy #jandenul #JDNfleet #WillemdeVlamingh

#DNAdenul • Passing on knowledge to the next generation 🧑🎓 Together with RTC we organized seven training days for students in technical courses in secondary and higher education. We welcomed 87 students at our construction sites in Erpe‑Mere and Lommel where they learned more about Jan De Nul and our technical expertise. In addition to our explanations, the students also got to roll up their sleeves during various exercises 💪 Investing in the future is key at Jan De Nul! We want to connect theory and practice by offering workplace learning, developing practical exercises, and promoting STEM and/or graduation projects. • #jandenul #meetJDN #JDNproject #jobatJDN #learning #education

#JDNproject • Milestone for De Lediaan in Diegem (Belgium)! This site used to be an old quarry and neglected landfill. Now it's evolving into a green eco-neighbourhood. De Lediaan will consist of 168 near-energy-neutral homes integrated in a a large public park of over 1.8 hectares. With the planting of the maypole, we are celebrating the completion of the structural works of the first phase. After the construction holidays, the technical installations and finishes to make the buildings wind- and waterproof will start. • #projectdevelopment #delediaan #PSR #Urbicoon #jandenul #diegem #econeighborhoud Lokaal bestuur Machelen, Urbicoon

Happy #DayoftheSeafarer • Today is all about one thing and one thing only: International Day of the Seafarer. And while we celebrate our crew every day, we will go the extra mile on this special day. ⚓🌊 A big thank you to our 3,000 crew members who work diligently to keep our fleet operational 24/7, maintain waterways, ensure energy reaches land, keep ports accessible, and wind turbines running. The International Maritime Organization is using this day to highlight the job of our seafarers. This year they will focus on how seafarers can contribute to making the maritime sector a safer workplace. And we are more than happy to support this. 👊🏻 • #jandenul #IMO #SafetyTipsAtSea #proudtobeJDN #seafarersday
