Where design meets data.
À propos
athena studio envisions a fashion industry where design meets data. That’s why we’ve built machine learning algorithms that predict the profitability and ecological impact of your designs from the get-go. Imagine a world where each product's margin and footprint are not just afterthoughts but are optimised for from inception. No more guesswork. Our platform forecasts the financial and environmental performance of each sample and generates actionable recommendations, empowering product teams to design towards their targets. We use machine learning models to solve for early-stage data gaps and ensure a streamlined, fully automated journey. athena studio is a mobile-friendly assistant that brings vital product information to your fingertips, anytime, anywhere – from sample reviews to supplier talks. Traditional fashion product development goes hand in hand with missed margin uplifts, product footprints that are higher than they should be, and substantial manual work after development. We have seen how costly this is to brands’ profitability and to our planet, and we are determined to solve this.

Last Wednesday our founder Heidi Van Dyck presented our belief at #PI that an overlooked, but game-changing application of #AI in #design is early-stage product optimisation, elevating profitability and sustainability from an afterthought to an input for new prototypes. We shared experiences with and learned from brands that are leading the way in #DPC 👗👟: Ralph Lauren, Kohl's, New Balance, Centric Brands, Nike, Champion, Gap, Deckers Brands and PVH Corp. to name a few. It was also an absolute pleasure to reconnect with the amazing teams 👾 from DMIx, Vizoo GmbH, vibeiq, Pimberly, Centric Software, Humanetics and PTTRNS.ai. 👏 Extra shout-out to the exceptional sessions from J Bailey Heckel, Kaveen Ratnaweera and Brian Lindauer! #Vogue World: Paris celebrated fashion and sport in what will arguably go down as the Olympics inofficial opening 🥇🏆 Fashion has always been fertile ground for innovation and creativity, and the Vogue World Paris event, held on June 23 at Place Vendôme, was no exception. This year's show celebrated 100 years of French #fashion and sport, a month before the #OlympicGames. With over 500 participants, including Serena and Venus Williams 🎾, the event indeed highlighted the growing importance of sport in #fashion. Athletes have become an integral part of designers' strategies, innovating with performance fabrics and collaborating with sportswear brands. From training to runway, we cannot wait to see what the Paris Olympic Games will bring this summer! #AthenaStudio #VogueWorld #ParisFashionWeek #MemesFriday #fashion #fashiontech #sustainablefashion

Food for thought: are the upcoming EU regulations, incl. the #PEF, all about measurement? 📝 Or… Do they provide an opportunity for early optimisation? 🚀 The biggest #sustainability challenge for designers and brands is that “sustainable design” is multidimensional and often contradictory across dimensions. The PEF aims to bring an approach to measuring the impact of both the production and circular design of a product into 1️⃣ single score. ✅ The benefit: it’s a set of guidelines to ensure consistent measurement of the environmental impact of a design 💡 The opportunity: by integrating the multiple sustainability dimensions in 1 single score, it makes “sustainable design” feasible Fashion #design is not about optimising for cost nor is it about optimising for a regulatory score: it’s about delivering a #creative vision that responds to a brand’s DNA. But to realise a sketch, product teams often have multiple choices when it comes to fabric, trim and supplier selection. At athena studio, we believe that it’s at this point 👆 that product teams should be equipped with the understanding of how one prototype compares to another. Our platform not only helps product developers to understand the impact, but smartly equips them with design recommendations. Making product development more informed, one style at a time. What do you think? #fashion #fashiontech #data #pef #euregulations #ai #ml #memesfriday

The Product Environmental Footprint, #PEF, for fashion 🇪🇺👗: we all talk about it, but what is it and how is it calculated? Time for the final post in our series! The PEF is an #EU initiative to standardize the way the environmental impacts of products are measured and reported to facilitate a greener, more competitive economy within the European single market. Are you a brand and unsure what this means for you? Don't worry - we got you covered. In our third post in this series, we cover the "so-what" of the PEF. Why would we measure a garment’s impact and turn it into a PEF score? Because it enables consumers to compare one product vs. another, and make informed decisions. ⚖ A #nutriscore for textiles? Swipe through the carrousel to learn more! 👉 Like this post? Make sure to check out the two previous posts in this series! *** Why athena studio? We bring what will be reported at the end all the way back to the beginning: our platform helps fashion #product teams to optimize each design for their PEF score, within their financial targets and constraints! 🌿💸 Interested to learn more? #QuietLuxury, #TomatoGirl, #BarbieCore: Has the fashion industry moved past microtrends, and is the new epitome of cool... to shun trends altogether? Julia Hobbs raised the question in British Vogue. Echoing her thoughts, Agustina Panzoni (Depop) observes that the items gaining traction as summer essentials — generic terms like #mesh and #sheer — suggest a shift away from narrowly defined microtrends. As forecasted by Vogue Business at the start of the year, 2024 has seen a return to #offline experiences. Panzoni anticipates a deeper brand engagement with this reality: “World-building is really important for brands right now, more than tapping into the latest ‘core”. What better strategy than to engage with the real world? 🌎 After all, it serves as the true stage for fashion. We at athena studio couldn’t agree more. And what is better than clothes designed for the physical world? Clothes designed for AND optimised for their impact on the physical world! 👾 With athena studio, you don’t have to choose. 🔗 #voguebusiness: https://lnkd.in/dMWHiBku #fashion #fashiontrends #fashiontech #data #ai #memesfriday
