📢🚀 25,000 m² data center Astron Buildings delivers the 5th hyperscale data center at the STACK EMEA Milan site. The fifth hyperscale data center for our repetitive customer, STACK EMEA, is currently being assembled at their Milan site. Suppling all the steel structures of these 25,000 m2 buildings reaffirms the trust and strong relationship we have built with this customer, highlighting their confidence in Astron’s ability to deliver top-class mission-critical facilities. Building a data center or a mission-critical facility is different to building a multi-purpose building. In addition to the design of the building, reliability and high quality are key to protecting the servers inside. This new 25,000 m² data center project will significantly expand STACK EMEA’s Milan infrastructures to a total of more than 60,000 m² of Astron Buildings. It follows the completion of our previous projects, which included two 13,500 m² buildings in 2016, and 2022, a third 7,000 m² structure in 2022 and a fourth 3,000 m² in 2023. Building data centers requires meticulous planning and execution. Key aspects include creating efficient, scalable designs, establishing physical infrastructure (building, cooling systems, power supplies, security measures), and ensuring optimal cooling to manage heat. Power redundancy, with UPS and backup generators, ensures continuous operation. High-speed fiber optic cables provide necessary bandwidth. Security is crucial, both physical (surveillance, biometric access) and digital (firewalls, encryption). #Cybersecurity involves implementing firewalls, encryption, and intrusion detection systems to protect data from cyber threats. #Sustainability is also emphasized, with energy-efficient designs using renewable sources. 🅿️ Bright & airy car park for Třinec 🇨🇿 This three-story car park located in the Czech city of Třinec offers a welcoming environment with 79 dedicated parking spaces accessible from individual entrances on each level. The building's structure was designed by Astron Mobility to be as light as possible, while the cladding provides a cohesive look that integrates into the city's architecture. To enhance its connection with the urban environment, plants were planted along the facade. Thanks to the expanded metal façade, daylight comes in from the outside through half-opened sections. This mix of light and shadow not only gives the car park an airy feeling, but also provides the impression of an open space. For this project, efficiency was a key consideration. The long 16 meters spans ensures smooth traffic flow within the car park. Additionally, Astron Mobility's dry assembly method significantly reduces construction time and costs, thanks to pre-engineered components that perfectly fit together. Sustainability is also in the center of this project. The top floor of the car park is equipped with a LMR600 roof system, ideal for installing a photovoltaic roof.

Do you know who is the secret hero beyond the thrilling matches? Steel. Steel's strength and versatility make it an essential material in stadium construction, ensuring safety and enhancing architecture. Let’s take this opportunity to look at ten stadiums of Euro 2024 with a focus on their steel construction. ⚽Munich Football Arena The Allianz Arena in Munich, venue for the opening game, is an architectural highlight with 48 steel beams and a steel net forming the structure with a total of 22,000 tons of steel.  ⚽ MHP Arena – Stuttgart Arena Some matches will be held at Stuttgart's MHP Arena. The roof structure, expanded in 2011, now includes 2,700 tons of steel and 420 tons of steel cables supporting the polyester roof membrane. ⚽Frankfurt Arena Other matches take place at Frankfurt's Deutsche Bank Park.You will find the largest steel cable membrane inner roof in the world. This structure weighs over 2,500 tons and is supported by 44 main pillars, with more than 12,000 tons of steel used. ⚽Olympiastadion – Berlin Chosen for the grand finale of the 2024 Euro championship, Berlin's Olympiastadion won the German Steel Construction Award in 2004 for its impressive cantilever roof structure, supported by 20 delicate steel columns. ⚽Düsseldorf Arena during Located near the company bauforumstahl, the Merkur Spiel Arena stands out with its retractable roof, supported by two 190-meter-long steel beams weighing 800 tons. ⚽BVB Stadion Dortmund Germany's largest stadium, Signal Iduna Park, will host six matches. Its eight yellow steel pylons, each 62 meters high, support and relieve the 750 tons of steel in the roof structure. ⚽Leipzig Stadium The stadium in Leipzig has a curved, four-part roof structure made of steel trapezoidal profiles with a striking 17-meter-high steel construction hovering unsupported over the stands. ⚽Cologne Stadium Hosting five Euro matches, Cologne’s RheinEnergie Stadion has four distinctive steel towers supporting a unique suspension structure. Over 5,200 tons of steel were used. ⚽Veltins Arena – Gelsenkirchen /AufSchalke The Veltins Arena, is known for its retractable roof with over 3,600 tons of steel. Steel is also used in the supporting structures of the stands, except for the south stand. ⚽Volksparkstadion – Hamburg Built with steel – this is definitely true for the northernmost venue of the European Championship. 40 steel masts support the ring of the roof membrane representing 6,500 tons of steel. 11-12 June Recovery Ukraine Conference in #Berlin Astron Buildings together with Bila Tserkva Industrial Park is taking part in #Ukraine Recovery Conference that started today in Berlin. Invited participants are heads of state and government, ministers and representatives of states, international organisations and financial institutions, companies and civil society organisations. Over 2,000 participants from 60 countries are expected to come. URC2024 aim is to encourage to start or develop a business in Ukraine and to provide even better support for Ukraine’s recovery. 🏢✨HIPP Medical AG reaches new heights with its new headquarters in Kolbingen! HIPP medical AG, a renowned manufacturer of medical instruments for orthopedics instruments 🔩🦿, has invested in a new 4,500 m2 building to combine all activities on one single site. Located in Kolbingen, Germany at 980 m height in the Alpine mountains⛰️, this facility is designed to withstand heavy snow loads and offers functionality and pleasing aesthetics.         . This state-of-the-art complex, realised by Astron long-term partner Wertbau GmbH & Co. KG, is perfectly suited to HIPP's advanced manufacturing processes: a clean room facility, automated measuring technology, and component mounting. But functionality isn't the only focus. The headquarters also includes modern office space attached to the main hall, measuring 54 x 21 meters. This ensures a seamless flow between production and administration. ☀️The building features large glass windows for natural light optimization and comfortable working conditions. Additionally, it includes a mezzanine, maximizing the utilization of available space. Two canopies – one measuring 6 x 26 meters and another 6 x 10 meters – provide extra covered space. HIPP's new headquarters provides a perfect mix of advanced manufacturing capabilities with modern office spaces.
