We are delighted to share our recent participation in the 3rd edition of the Surgical Data Science Summer School in Strasbourg, France, from July 15-19, 2024. Hosted by the Institute of Image-Guided Surgery (IHU Strasbourg), this event was a fantastic opportunity to share knowledge and drive innovation in the surgical community. Asensus Director of Surgical Innovation, Stefano Pomati, delivered an insightful presentation titled "Surgical AI - Beyond Robotics: The Digital Frontier." Stefano highlighted how Asensus is at the forefront of technological change, combining Augmented Intelligence and real-time data insights to advance precision and patient care in the OR. He also emphasized the value of our digital solutions in surgery, including reducing the training learning curve, alleviating cognitive load, and improving workflow efficiency and staff utilization. This clearance enables the use of our system for both adult and pediatric urology patients, providing surgeons with unparalleled control and accuracy during procedures. With over 185,000 urological surgeries performed annually in the United States, the impact of this advancement is profound. While the Senhance System has been successfully utilized for Urology procedures outside the U.S. for several years, this expanded indication will allow this important specialty to leverage the advantages of the Senhance System in the U.S. patient population. At the 12th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Gynecological Robotic Surgery, held on the picturesque shores of Lake Biwa in Shiga, Japan, the spotlight was on the Senhance® Simulator during the Skills Challenge Contest.
