Summer's over, but the stories live on! ☀️

This summer was exceptionally hot. Seasons change and summer will inevitably return, but bidding farewell to one season is always a bit bittersweet.

📚🇰🇷 Stanford meets Seoul! 15 brilliant undergrads from stanford University dropped by LTI Korea during their recent visit to South Korea. With majors ranging from data science to human biology, these diverse minds got a taste of our mission to share Korean stories with the world! 🌏

We kicked things off with a presentation on LTI Korea's history, vision, and programs. But the real fun began with our Korean lit bingo game! 🎉 Winners took home translated Korean books, cool bookmarks, and even a goodie bag made of snacks (because who doesn't love Korean snacks? 😋).

Big thanks to Professor Dafna Zur of Stanford's East Asian Languages and Cultures department for bringing these bright minds our way. Here's to building bridges through literature! 🌉📖

"Beyond Boundaries: Korean Literature Everywhere" presents in vivid 6K animation the works of novelist Cho Hae-jin and poet Kim Seung-hee. These two authors, who have long navigated diverse worlds, now take their first steps into a new realm with the short story “Guarded by Light” and the poem “Invitation to a Journey.” Experience these works brought to life by the exquisite pen drawings of Jae-hoon Choi and the free-flowing illustrations of Yu Jeong Eom. As you journey through this passageway connecting here to there, explore beyond the boundaries of borders, languages, hearts and minds.

«경계 풀기: 한국문학의 비행»은 조해진 소설과 김승희 시를 6K 애니메이션으로 소개합니다. 소설 「빛의 호위」와 시「여행으로의 초대」는 다른 세계와 지속적으로 마주해온 두 작가가 낯선 곳에 내딛는 첫 발걸음과도 같은 작품입니다. 최재훈 작가의 세심한 펜화, 엄유정 작가의 자유로운 드로잉으로 새롭게 단장한 두 작품을 인천공항에서 만나보세요. 이곳과 저곳을 연결하는 통로에서 국경과 언어, 마음의 경계를 들여다보는 시간이 되기를 바랍니다.
