For the first time, a UAV from Unmanned Defense Systems participated in a live-fire exercise, simulating an aerial threat to test vessel defenses. The exercise was conducted by Lithuanian Naval Forces, utilizing live ammunition to engage and neutralize a UAV simulating an attack on the vessel. The primary objective was to integrate the vessel's weapon and technical systems for effective counter-UAV combat and to evaluate the new 3D radar's detection capabilities. The UAV was successfully destroyed on the first salvo by the "Otto Melara" artillery gun, showcasing both precision targeting and system integration. Controlled from shore by Unmanned Defense Systems operators, this operation underscores our commitment to providing advanced ISR, loitering munitions, and automated UAV control systems.
