💉 On September 28, we celebrated World Rabies Day and once again reminded everyone about the importance of vaccinating pets against this incurable disease. At our foundation, together with our partners, we care about ensuring that pets in Ukraine receive rabies vaccines so that this terrible disease stays away from them. Olha Boiko, who works with the Worldwide Vets team, treats, vaccinates, sterilizes, and performs other essential procedures for pets. Last year, they managed to vaccinate over 1,000 furry ones against rabies in the 📍Kherson region. 🔹 Recently, we donated 400 doses of Biocan R vaccines to the WorldwideVets team. We received a thank-you video from Olha, and we want to share it with you. 🐾 Being a veterinarian is really important and tough, so we’re glad to help them by providing the supplies they need to treat and prevent pet diseases 💙 We also want to highlight the involvement of ifaw and Greater Good Charities, as they are making tremendous efforts in the vaccination process!

On September 28, the global community observes World Rabies Day 🐾 🇺🇦 In Ukraine, there are at least 140,000 stray pets. Out of these, around 22,000 cases require vaccination. Rabies is an incurable disease, which makes prevention a critical issue! We, at the U-Hearts Foundation, along with the Save Pets of Ukraine initiative, have been caring for stray pets in Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion. Thanks to the support of international donors and partners, we have successfully implemented treatment and vaccination programs. So far, we have vaccinated 13,994 cats 🐱 and dogs 🐶 against rabies — roughly equivalent to the population of 📍Glen Carbon, Illinois. We are proud of our achievements and grateful to ifaw and Greater Good Charities for their support in vaccinating pets against rabies. These are the results we are achieving together, and this is definitely not the end! 💙

Remember Me Thursday. On the fourth Thursday of September, we remember stray pets 💙 Due to the war in Ukraine 🇺🇦, many pets have lost their homes. They need our help and support. This day is an opportunity to raise our voices for those who can’t speak for themselves and bring attention to their needs. At our foundation, U-Hearts, we continuously work to help pets find new homes 🙏🏻 We’ve created the Shelter Patronage Program and collaborate with the Look 4 Paws project, which aims to promote pet adoption and support shelters. While shelters can provide care, nothing compares to a real home with a family. The warm, cozy photos of pets below have already found their families. In just 1.5 months, 8 cats 🐱 and dogs 🐶 have gotten their lucky ticket and are now living in loving homes. We aim to improve our results and increase the number of furry friends that get adopted. Let’s support those who need our love and care. Everyone can make a difference by adopting, helping at shelters, or simply spreading the word. Pets need, you can! 🐾

📍Cherkasy region We continue to support shelters across Ukraine 🇺🇦 With pet evacuations happening more frequently, the needs of the shelters keep growing.
