Data doesn’t just inform; it inspires. With the right insights, we can unlock new directions and creative solutions that truly resonate. 💡 Last week, Repsense CEO Mykolas Katkus presented at the Lietuvos marketingo asociacija (LiMA) event LiMA DAY’24: DATA-DRIVEN MARKETING. During his presentation, he showcased fascinating data on how the time spent across different media channels in Lithuania has shifted over the past 10 years. One of the most striking insights? The dramatic rise of digital channels during the COVID period: ↗️ Time spent on Telegram is now almost on par with print media. ↗️ YouTube viewing time is nearly equal to all television combined. ↗️ The combined time on TikTok and Instagram now exceeds radio listening. Data sources: Kantar studies — “Media Day” and “Digital” — which use distinct methodologies. While the data isn't fully homogeneous, it clearly reflects the broader trend. The yellow highlights indicate the digital study’s daily reach of channels that have only recently begun being tracked in Lithuania (though Repsense has been monitoring most of these channels extensively). Kantar “Media Day” 2014-2024 (TG: 16-74 daily reach %) “Digital” (Crv. - daily audience). #Marketing #DataDrivenMarketing #MediaInsights #DigitalTransformation #Repsense .

We’re back, bringing you our June analysis of hostile disinformation narratives. In June, Russian media intensified its disinformation campaign against the Baltic states, with Latvia receiving the most attention (8,112 mentions). The focus was on Russian culture in Latvia and the challenges faced by Russian performers. Lithuania had 6,082 mentions, primarily covering the European Parliament elections, NATO exercises, and its relations with Ukraine, while Estonia, with 2,785 mentions, played a secondary role. The expanded list of prohibited goods from Russia and Belarus was a major topic, featuring false reports of Italian businesspeople’s grievances and alleged losses faced by Lithuanian citizens at the border. Rugilė Ereminaitė, Repsense’s Head of Analytics, noted, “Lithuanian political events were prominently featured in the disinformation campaign, with the aim of generating fear about the future of the Baltic states.” The campaign sought to depict the Baltic states as economically and politically unstable, fostering distrust between them and their allies. Additionally, Russian media accused the Baltic states of eradicating Russian culture, labeling it as "linguistic genocide", and criticized the relocation of Soviet soldiers' graves. 🔗 Stay tuned for our next update and dive deeper into the full article via the link in the comments. #BalticStates #Disinformation #Lithuania #Latvia #Estonia
