🔍 Case Study: Doubled NHS Traffic - Positive Impact of Accessibility 🔍 The UK's National Health Service (NHS) website underwent a redesign focused on complying with accessibility laws, which require public sector companies to achieve an AA rating based on website accessibility guidelines (WCAG). This initiative included reducing the number of PDFs on the website from 12,000 to a few hundred, simplifying the user interface, and ensuring clear content. The percentage of pages achieving the highest AAA accessibility rating increased from 53% to 98%, and pages without priority accessibility issues rose from 36% to 100%. As a result, daily users increased from 15,000 to 26,000, and average page engagement time decreased. 🌐 Source: Design Week - https://lnkd.in/gkvRxc4 #Accessibility #WebsiteRedesign #NHS #DigitalTransformation #WCAG #HealthcareInnovation #UserExperience #DigitalAccessibility #Kloosive Image description: Title of the case study: "Doubled NHS Traffic: Positive Impact of Accessibility" — followed by an image of NHS website title page.

In an ideal world, digital content would be accessible to everyone. But the reality is, most digital designs exclude people with disabilities. To combat this, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) created the POUR approach: 👀 Perceivable: From alt text for images to readable color contrast, every detail counts. 🖱️ Operable: Smooth navigation for all, with keyboard access and clear link text. 🧠 Understandable: Clarity is key - use clear language, headings, and instructions. 🔧 Robust: Ensure compatibility across technologies for seamless user experiences. Ensuring adherence to these principles is essential for web accessibility. By prioritizing inclusivity, we empower all users to fully engage with digital content. #Kloosive #WebAccessibility #WCAG Carousel Description: Slide 1: Title "The 4 Web Accessibility Principles - POUR" with Kloosive company logo and slides two to five list principles one by one. Slide 2: Perceivable - Presenting information and UI components to users in accessible formats. Slide 3: Operable - Ensuring operability of UI components and navigation for all users. Slide 4: Understandable - Making information and UI operations clear and comprehensible. Slide 5: Robust - Creating content interpretable by diverse user agents and assistive technologies.
