Recently we had a pleasure to host Eric Reuter, Head of Physical Settlement at ECC, in GET Baltic office in Vilnius 🏢. Eric's visit provided valuable insights as we prepare to introduce 🆕offerings. During his visit, Eric explored the potential for remote collaboration🌐. We also had the opportunity to introduce Eric to our team and to work together for a few days 🕘. 🚀 Next year, GET Baltic will be launching services to the market participants on the EEX trading platform. 🕶 🌞 In June, gas price was rising across all GET Baltic market areas. It reflects the situation all over the Europe, where gas prices rose despite lower demand and high storage levels. Average price on the exchange was 39.78 EUR/MWh, 9% higher than in May 📍Price on the Lithuanian market was 39.98 EUR/MWh, ⬆ 8% 📍In the common Latvian-Estonian market area - 39.66 EUR/MWh, ⬆ 10% 📍In Finland - 39.74EUR/MWh, ⬆ 10%   Volume of traded gas - 427 GWh and more than 2,100 transactions. ☀ Summer heat and rising gas prices? Here's what happened on the GET Baltic exchange in May. ✏ Average price on the exchange was 36.56 EUR/MWh, 10% higher than in April  ✏Price on the Lithuanian market was 37.04 EUR/MWh, ⬆ 17% ✏On the Latvian and Estonian market area - 36.00 EUR/MWh, ⬆ 9% ✏In Finland - 36.25 EUR/MWh, ⬆ 5% Volumes of traded gas - 451 GWh and more than 2,000 transactions. 🔸 51% was purchased on the Lithuanian market area, 🔸23% - on the common Latvian-Estonian market area, 🔸26% - on the Finnish market area. 🔎 Last month, global trends led to an increase in the price of gas on the GET Baltic exchange as well, but the price differences between market areas maintained their downward trend. Price stability between the different market areas has also been influenced by the exchange's unique implicit capacity allocation mechanism. It has led to the execution of cross-border trades, with their volumes up by a quarter in May compared to April, - says Giedre Kurme, CEO of GET Baltic.
