Breakfast in Paris today, and dinner in the Canary Islands tomorrow is entirely possible when you are having a job as cabin crew. ✈️ Lithuanian media recently spoke to our Senior Cabin Crew member Santinas Janonis about the versatile, dynamic and fascinating cabin crew career, which is easy to fall in love with. “Being a cabin crew member is an adventure that generously offers new experiences and teaches you valuable skills constantly”, shares Santinas. Though a career in the skies is fascinating, it demands extensive skills and thorough preparation. Santinas tells that: “Smiling at passengers and serving coffee are just a small part of our responsibilities. In any airline's uniform, we not only represent the company but also take on roles like doctor, psychologist, firefighter, and emergency responder, capable of evacuating an aircraft in 90 seconds. Summer is perfect for internships! 🚀 Here at Avion Express, we have launched a new internship model this summer, inviting talented students from VILNIUS TECH - Vilnius Gediminas Technical University and Kaunas University of Technology to join our team and gain experience in various units of the Technical Department. Tomas Pupinis, the Head of this Internship, shares that in this new internship model, interns receive a more holistic experience in aviation, providing them with a better understanding of how processes work across different units and levels daily. 👉 "Every time we work with young people who just start their aviation careers, it's important to understand that they are our future colleagues. Our colleague Deimantė Grabskienė is proof of that. Today we congratulate her as a fresh commercial pilot!👏 Deimante started working at Avion Express as a People and Culture Specialist. Later, she joined the Training Department as a Flight Crew Training Coordinator in 2023. Her extensive aviation experience includes serving as a Cabin Crew member, and now she has completed her training as a commercial pilot and has been awarded her frozen ATPL(A) pilot license by the Lithuanian Civil Aviation Authorities (TKA)!✅ So, let's extend a warm welcome to Deimante as she joins the esteemed ranks of aviators and wish her the best in her new ventures. Being an ACMI provider means operating flights all over the world, with our cabin crew encountering a variety of different passengers and cultures. However, when it comes to ensuring a good flight experience, good manners are a universal language. Jelena Darinceva, our Head of Cabin Operations, shares her insights on flight etiquette, emphasizing that courteous behavior makes the journey better for everyone on board.
