I grit my teeth and read the entire executive order regarding trans people, and I just want to take the opportunity to remind folks not to forget intersex people. One of the rescinded documents is “Supporting Intersex Students: A Resource for Students, Families, and Educators,“ and there is a huge emphasis on legally enshrining "only two sexes.”
Yes, this affects trans people, but with the way intersex voices often get ignored in trans spaces, I just want to remind folks not to shut us out. Don’t forget us. Don’t keep talking over us. Don’t act like we aren’t on the front lines. Don’t act like this is just about you. Please.
As a perisex trans person, I would even go so far as to say that intersex people shouldn’t just be included, but need to be actively centered in this conversation. Because the legal enshrinement of two sexes might coincide with transphobia or be intended to push transphobic legal standards, but it is directly going to challenge intersex people’s fundamental right to exist. It affects all of us, but intersex folks have even fewer social & legal resources and even less understanding from the broader public, and they need us to care about them and help amplify their voices.
Green is correct and a hero and a saint and I would surrender at least one (1) of my treasured possessions to them (it would have a headphone jack)

I feel bad that some of yall assume Reddit is just for republican neckbeards. it is currently fucking plastered in leftist posts, making fun of trump and musk, calling out trump for basically admitting to election fraud and musk for the fucking salute, people literally openly saying they wish these assholes would die. Some subreddits with broad other purposes have been largely converted into leftist communities. Believing tumblr is the only existing bastion of leftists or whatever WILL make you bitter and miserable lol
What people think Reddit is: you sir have won the internets with your epic atheist logic!
What Reddit actually is:
I opened the fucking silly jojos bizarre adventure meme page and the first thing i saw was a meme straight up calling out musk as a fascist
many subreddits, including seriously huge and popular ones such as r/NFL, r/christianty, and r/destiny2 are also now banning links from twitter due to musk’s salute. entire teams of mods are coming together to put out the message that they don’t support nazi’s and that anyone who does can go fuck themselves. there is also talks of banning anything from meta like facebook and instagram since zuckerburg seems to have bent the knee and is going full mask off with. it’s honestly really refreshing to see
Is anyone here… in their mid 20s to mid 30s and employed in a field they enjoy and able to support themselves fully?
Yes (explain yourself)
Mid 20-30s - dislike job/underpaid
Mid 20s-30s - unemployed
Youngster
Oldster
Bald, etc.
I’m officially upper 30s now but I’ve been in the same field and had sustainable income since I was 28. I went to grad school at 25 and focused on something I knew was hiring a lot and have bounced from there.
I’ve had moments where I hated my company but I still liked my field. Right now I really like my company and enjoy my field but have struggled with my particular role.
I think it helps to separate out those things: do i enjoy a) my role b) my general field c) my employer or d) my salary. Hardly anyone is ever going to like all four, but ¾ is pretty great.
To anyone wondering if it’s worth it to tear down fascist posters or whatever. I spent a few months last year engaged in silent battle with another student at my school who was putting anti trans stickers up everywhere. I had it down to a system where every night I would walk the five block radius they went up in, and tear down all the ones I could reach, and use a stick to put duct tape over the others. Like, within hours of the stickers going up, I would have already purged the whole zone. I knew the basic schedule of whoever put them up based on when and where the stickers appeared. I probably could have found them in person if I’d wanted to. And I told all my classmates and friends what the stickers looked like and got them to rip them down too. And after a few months of this, the stickers slowed, and then stopped forever.
My point is, a lot of this fashy or right wing stuff is one local weirdo. And if you pay attention, and do a little light organizing with your friends, you can basically make their efforts into a giant sisyphisean exercise in misery. You control your streets!
Remember: It costs money to keep printing those stickers, but ripping them down is free.
i think we should bring the guillotine back
