Dissociation

Story: Tom is a nice guy. He hates violence, is generally polite, and never breaks any laws. However, has Dissociative Identity Disorder/Multiple Personality Disorder, and has a psychopathic personality trying to take over control of his body. You play this second personality. You can take control of Tom's body for 10 seconds at a time, forcing him to murder random citizens around the street, while trying to evade the police. After that 10 seconds, Tom takes over control again for 5 seconds, dropping any weapon you have with you before fleeing in terror.

Development: This game was made for LD 27, where the theme was "10 seconds". I struggled with this project, and I didn't have nearly as much time as I would have liked to add all the features to make it a proper game. I am still quite happy that I managed to trow the bits of it together and have it actually turn out as a playable game with a goal. I am a bit disappointed with the lack of content in the game (art, animations, music), but that was all due to the project being too ambitious for that short amount of time.
