  • We are thrilled to share that the NSBM Logistics Circle had the privilege of attending the highly anticipated 'Elevating Colombo' technical conference organised by Ministry of Transport and Highways. This event focused on the innovative Port Access Elevated Highway project, which promises to revolutionize Colombo's transport infrastructure. The conference provided a platform for insightful discussions on the project's technical aspects, challenges, and groundbreaking solutions. Our members gained valuable knowledge from industry experts, enhancing our understanding of how such infrastructure projects can drive economic growth and improve urban mobility. A big thank you to the organizers and speakers for an enlightening and inspiring event!     LOGENSUE is a guest lecture series organized by the Logistics Circle of NSBM. Each session is a discussion on logistics-related areas, aimed at providing updates and insights on contemporary topics in the logistics industry to our undergraduates at NSBM Green University. LOGENSUE, Chapter 07, held on 5th May starting at 10:00 am, focused on the topic of "IT Applications in Warehousing." The Guest Speaker for this session was Mr. Sayuru Adikari , Head of Logistics Solutions and a Marketing Business Development Specialist at Hayleys Advantis 3PL Limited. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to Mr. Sayuru Adikari for his valuable insights and contribution to LOGENSUE, Chapter 07. The Logistics Circle of NSBM further extends our gratitude to our Dean - Faculty of Business, Ms. Thilini De Silva , our Department Head, Ms.Maneesha Dias, Masters in Charge, Mr. Shaja Musthaffa and Mr. Praveen Ranaweera , Mistress in charge Ms. Hansika, lecturer Ms. Lakni and all the lecturers, participants and Logistics Circle team who made this event a success. Additionally, an engaging session was conducted, enhancing the overall experience for everyone involved.

    IMMINENT' 24, the annual Logistics Day organized by the Logistics Circle of NSBM Green University, was held on March 20th, 2024, marking a momentous occasion in the realm of logistics. The event unfolded, illuminating the path forward with the theme of 'Next Wave Logistics with Industry 5.0'. The day commenced with a keynote address delivered by the esteemed Ms. Rumal Fernando, the Head of Customer Service and Logistics at Unilever Sri Lanka. With eloquence and authority, Ms. Fernando articulated a vision for the future that resonated with the audience, emphasizing the importance of embracing change and harnessing technology to drive progress in the logistics sector. The highlight of the day was the dynamic panel discussion featuring distinguished voices including Mr. Nishan Hewagamage, the Chief Executive Officer at EFL 3PL Sri Lanka, Dr. T. Sivakumar, Senior Lecturer from the Department of Transport Management and Logistics Engineering, University of Moratuwa, and Mr. Mayukha Abeyratne, the Strategy and Growth Lead at Hemas Mobility Sector.
