The Research Team leads NOAA policy analysts and scientists in gathering information to support evidence-based decision-making and scientific inquiry. Our team integrates best practices in systematic literature review methodologies to ensure that you have a high level of confidence and access to the best available science. We can

• Assist in defining and scoping a research question
• Develop a transparent & reproducible search strategy
• Identify relevant information sources
• Test and revise search strings and strategies
• Conduct comprehensive searches across published and gray literature
• Integrate assisted machine learning to screen sources
• Build a full-text library of sources post-screening
• Develop annotated bibliographies

Our team is comprised of expert researchers who excel in systematic searching. Our team members are skilled in developing extensive search strategies required to conduct comprehensive literature reviews and have supported 400 research projects since FY18. Through integration evidence synthesis methods, the research service supports transparent, reproducible, and objective information discovery.
