Compost Baladi provides capacity building training on solid waste management & sustainable agricultural practices. Farmers of Lilie’s Farm in the South of Lebanon were able, through the training, to improve their soil management practices, which allowed them to reduce input costs such as fertilizer, water and energy that in turn improved their margins and their climate resilience. As part of our commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration in the waste management sector, Berytech was a proud supporter in the RAWMEC (Recycling and Waste Management Exhibition and Conference) held at Hilton Palace Beirut on June 26, 27, and 28. Our involvement included a dynamic panel discussion titled "Collaboration and Innovation: Unlocking the Potential of Lebanon's WM Sector," featuring panelists Dr. Nancy Saliba Boueri from the Asher Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship - ACIE at USEK, Robert El- Khoury, CEO of Roky Plast SAL, Nathaly Khoury, Advisor to the Minister of Industry, and Rami Sbeih, Co-founder of Plastc Lab - and moderated by Ingrid Salloum, Cluster Manager at Berytech.   Additionally, Berytech showcased its programs and 9 alumni startups, including BioSalleh , Nadeera , GARBALISER , Dekkenet el Nes, Green Mount Recycling , CubeX SAL, Compost Baladi SAL , E-PlastR, and Plastc Lab innovating in the waste management sector.   A highlight was the inauguration of Nadeera's innovative reverse vending machine with Co-founder Rabih el Chaar, Minister of Environment Dr. Nasser Yassin , and RAWMEC organizer Nader Abbas, with Lara El Khoury , Programs Director, representing Berytech.   #Berytech #RAWMEC2024 #Innovation #WasteManagement #Lebanon
