Metallum (-i, n.) est genus materiae quod lucem refulget ac eam defert propriam colorum ratio, metallica dicta. Optimum vi electrica conductor est, universe acidis hydrogenium proferentibus sed non basibus incisum, saepe bona resistentia mechanica. Metalla pura sunt elementa chemica.
