Gadus morhua (binomen a Carolo Linnaeo anno 1758 statutum) est species piscium generis Gadi familiae Gadidarum in oceano Atlantico septentrionali vivens.

Gadi morhuae, quae ad aggerem Faeroensem pascuntur, stirpi dintinctae attribuuntur: citius et largius crescuntur. Piscatores Faeroenses et Norvegi recenter hos pisces avidius captitabantur, sed ab anno 2008 propter deminutionem stirpis abstinent ex hyperalieusi.[1]
