Encephalos[1] sive encephalus[2] sive encephalon[3] sive encephalum[2] est maxima et altissima pars systematis nervosi centralis in cavo cranii animalium vertebratum clausa. Encephalon in medulla spinali prolongatur et cum multis organis per nervos cerebrales connectitur.
