What's NP and VP?

[fontem recensere]

S = sententia (sentence), N = nomen (noun, which includes substantive and adjective, though in the example just substantives (nomina substantiva) are present), D = pronomen demonstrativum (demonstrative pronoun), V = verbum (verb). But what's NP and VP? -84.161.19.127 23:49, 15 Augusti 2015 (UTC) & 01:38, 16 Augusti 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Noun phrase and verb phrase, but if the question is whether they should be used in Latin, I'm not sure. What do linguists writing in other languages use? Lesgles (disputatio) 02:25, 16 Augusti 2015 (UTC)[reply]
