Boomerang sive baculum resiliens[1] est telum curvum persaepe ligneum, quo homines ad venandum vel animi causa utuntur. Telum huius generis ita iaci potest, ut itinere elliptico facto ad iactatorem resiliat. Nomen boomerang originem trahit a lingua aboriginali Australiae, ubi indigenae eis insigniter utebantur, sed gentes diversae, sicut Aegyptii, Indi Americani in California et Arizona, atque Indiani, instrumenta simillima fecerunt.
