Salon (coetus)
Salon (Francice) est coetus hominum sub tecto hospitis suavis et venusti, partim ut se oblectent, partimque ut per colloquium ad expoliendum iudicium et augendam scientiam participum habitus. Hi coetus saepe Horatianam finium poesis definitionem de industria secuti sunt: "Aut prodesse volunt aut delectare poetae / aut simul et iucunda et idonea dicere vitae."[1] Notio salon, plerumque cum Francicis litterarum et philosophiae motibus saeculorum septimi decimi et duodevicesimi consociatum, in locis urbanis iam fit.
