Capsicum (genus)
genus plantarum florentium familiae Solanacearum
(Redirectum de Capsicum)
Capsicum (nomen a Linnaeo anno 1753 statutum) est genus plantarum florentium familiae Solanacearum. Generi sunt quinque fere species, cuius fructibus (Latine "capsicis" appellatis), capsaicinum continentibus, homines pro cibo et medicamentis uti solent. Species utiliores quinque, Capsicum annuum, Capsicum baccatum, Capsicum chinense, Capsicum frutescens, Capsicum pubescens pluresque cultivarietates recognoscuntur.
