[ Taihan's news ] On the 26th of this month, Taihan and Hanwha Solutions entered into an MOU for the joint advancement of the “Global TOP Project.” Together, they will focus on the development and certification of crucial materials, including cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation used in high-voltage direct current (HVDC) and submarine cables, as well as extra-high-voltage (EHV) cables. The goal is to localize the production of materials and achieve technological independence, thereby enhancing the competitive advantage of Taihan’s cable products. In addition, the companies are set to bolster their cooperation in the eco-friendly energy sector. [ Taihan's news ] Taihan is reinforcing production capabilities for submarine cables. Since its first supply of submarine cables to Janggun-do Island in Korea in 2009, Taihan has built its competitiveness through 13 submarine cable supply projects such as Australia, and Vietnam, etc. We are now establishing a production infrastructure by making full use of our know-how and technological advantages accumulated as Korea's first cable company while completing global projects for over 70 years. The first step of the Submarine Cable Plant 1 in Dangjin was recently completed, and the second step of Plant 1 is currently under construction. [ Taihan's news] Taihan has awarded three power grid projects in the United States, with one for EHV and two for MV/LV. The total order value is around KRW 130 billion. With this, Taihan has achieved new orders of over KRW 330 billion for this year in the U.S. alone. This result exceeds 80% of the record annual orders in the U.S. from fiscal year 2022 (around KRW 400 billion). The ongoing increase in demand expected for power grids in the U.S. indicates potential for the highest orders in one region to date. [ Taihan's news ] On the 4th of May, Taihan, announced the completion of the first step of its submarine cable plant 1 in Dangjin-si, Chungcheongnam-do. The grand opening of the plant was celebrated the day before, on the 3rd. The submarine cable plant 1 of Taihan, which focuses on producing inter array cables, was finalized and approved this May. [ Taihan's news ] Taihan announced on the 23rd that it had engaged in discussions with Taiwanese governmental bodies and corporate representatives regarding collaborative business strategies in the offshore wind power and hydrogen industries.   The meeting featured around 25 attendees, including representatives from the Classification Society (CS), Taiwan International Ports Corporation (TIPC), alongside business figures from the hydrogen fuel cell and logistics industries.   Taihan showcased its production capacity at its submarine cable manufacturing plant, its advanced submarine cable laying vessels (CLVs), and its extensive track record in obtaining submarine cable projects, and proposed exploring collaborative business opportunities in a range of different fields. #Taihan #Hoban #Hobangroup #Taiwan #Offshore_Wind_Power

[ Taihan's Product] Triplex cable is a product made by joining three single-core XLPE cables into a single cable. [ Taihan's news ] Taihan has formally disclosed its sales revenue of KRW 788.5 billion and operating profits of KRW 28.8 billion for the first quarter based on the consolidated financial statements. Compared to the same period for the previous year, this represents a 12% increase in sales revenue from KRW 703.9 billion and a 63% increase in operating profit from KRW 17.7 billion. The primary factor in this performance improvement is attributed to an increase in sales based on a substantial order backlog.
