Providing Martime data solution and Ocean shipping Market place.
소개
South Korea's global trade volume stands at $1.2 trillion as of 2021, making it the 8th largest in the world. However, the Logistic Performance Index (LPI) released by the World Bank ranks South Korea at 25th place, similar to China, and records the lowest rank among OECD countries. We identify the causes of this situation as a 'closed market' and the resulting 'information asymmetry.' Through the following services, we aim to innovate the shipping market: 1. [Marketplace]: Revolutionizing complex shipping transactions to provide new value to key industry players, including import/export companies, shipping companies, and forwarders. 2. [Big Data-Based Specialized Shipping Solutions]: Offering users new insights by processing scattered public data and logistics information and reducing workload.

🔋 Pushing for Standardization of CO2 Carriers to Meet Expected Demand ✅ Seven of Japan's major shipping and shipbuilding companies are collaborating to establish standardized specifications and designs for LCO2 carriers. This project aims to build a stable supply chain for LCO2 carriers and improve economic efficiency in response to the growing demand for carbon capture and storage (CCS) projects. ✅ Shipping companies such as Mitsui, NYK, and K Line, along with shipbuilders like Mitsubishi Shipbuilding and Imabari Shipbuilding, are participating in the project. They plan to begin construction of the first large-scale LCO2 carriers by 2027, with the goal of launching large-scale international marine transport of LCO2 by 2028. ✅ Japan has already completed its first LCO2 demonstration carrier, which is being used to test the loading, transportation, and unloading procedures for LCO2. #Container #Shipping #Maritime #ContainerShipping #ContainerMarket #Logistics #Sustainability #SustainabilityManagement #NetZero #EnvironmentalRegulation #CO2 #LCO2 https://lnkd.in/e6kCVfUw

♻️ New Uncertainty in the Shipping Industry’s Carbon Neutral Strategy ✅ AP Moller-Maersk’s order for LNG-fueled vessels marks a shift from its previous focus on methanol, reflecting the industry's efforts to balance the uncertainties and high costs of low-carbon fuels. Maersk's decision to adopt LNG, after long dismissing it, highlights the uncertainty the shipping industry currently faces. ✅ The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has set a goal of achieving zero carbon emissions by 2050, but without strong fuel taxes or regulations, shipping companies may find it difficult to use expensive zero-carbon fuels. ✅ Experts point out that only a few of the 340 planned zero-carbon maritime fuel production projects have attracted private capital. They argue that the IMO must introduce strong economic incentives and regulations to drive decarbonization in the shipping industry. #Container #Shipping #Maritime #ContainerShipping #ContainerMarket #Logistics #Sustainability #SustainabilityManagement #NetZero #EnvironmentalRegulation #IMO #InternationalMaritimeOrganization https://lnkd.in/eftE-UHA

🚀 Container Ship Contracts Surpass 10 Million TEU ✅ In 2024, 1.59 million TEU of ship capacity was contracted, marking the third-highest record since 2008. The total capacity contracted since 2021 has reached 10.47 million TEU, far exceeding the previous four-year record. ✅ Since 2021, ship recycling has been minimal, leading to an increase in the average fleet age, while new ships have contributed to a 25% fleet expansion. Although recycling activity may increase, the number of newly contracted ships could still rise. ✅ The Red Sea crisis has boosted ship demand, but with the fleet expected to grow by another 12%, there is a possibility of oversupply in the near future. #Container #Shipping #Maritime #ContainerShipping #ContainerMarket #OceanFreight #Capacity #Logistics #Transit #NewBuild #NewBuilding https://lnkd.in/e_-DQsmu

🛳 Increased Competition on Trans-Pacific Routes Due to Expanded Capacity ✅ In recent months, the introduction of 10 new services on Trans-Pacific routes has led to an oversupply on the U.S. West Coast, intensifying competition. Sea freight rates from Asia to the U.S. West have decreased compared to a few weeks ago, with some carriers offering rates about $1,000 lower than the usual spot and FAK rates. ✅ To secure more cargo through competition, carriers are offering special rates based on specific products. This rate reduction is particularly evident as demand for the West Coast decreases. ✅ Transportation volumes are expected to decrease from September, which could contribute to rate stabilization. Additionally, the potential for labor strikes is prompting importers to move their cargo to the U.S. West Coast. #Container #Shipping #Maritime #ContainerShipping #ContainerMarket #OceanFreight #OceanFreight #Capacity #Logistics #Transit #Reliable #Reliability https://lnkd.in/eZR5vaZr

🚢 IWSA: Threefold Increase in Wind Propulsion System Installations ✅ In recent years, the performance of wind propulsion technology has significantly improved, and the return on investment (ROI) relative to installation costs has also increased, leading to weekly announcements of new projects, orders, and installations. ✅ The International Windship Association (IWSA) has submitted a proposal to the 82nd session of the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) of the IMO to include wind propulsion in mid-term measures. The proposal includes an amended formula to equitably account for wind energy in the calculation of Greenhouse Gas Fuel Intensity (GFI). ✅ According to a report by Lloyd’s Register, the deployment of Wind-Assisted Propulsion Systems (WAPS) is rapidly increasing, but the lack of standards for verifying potential fuel savings is creating uncertainty for operators when selecting solutions. #Container #Shipping #Maritime #ContainerShipping #ContainerMarket #Logistics #Sustainability #SustainabilityManagement #NetZero #EnvironmentalRegulation #WindPoweredShip #WindPropelledVessel #Windship #IWSA #InternationalWindshipAssociation https://lnkd.in/daA_RNcK

🌊 ICS: 411 new hydrogen vessels needed to meet future hydrogen demand ✅ The report "Turning hydrogen demand into reality: Which sectors come first?" emphasizes that the shipping industry can play a crucial role in the hydrogen economy, with the demand for vessels to transport hydrogen expected to increase significantly as global hydrogen demand rises. ✅ To introduce hydrogen-based fuels in the shipping industry, the development of port infrastructure is essential. The establishment of clean energy marine hubs is mentioned as a key factor in the activation of the hydrogen economy. These hubs will support the safe and efficient transport of hydrogen and its derivatives, such as ammonia. ✅ Europe, particularly Germany, is actively developing hydrogen infrastructure related to shipping. Hydrogen supply chain projects are being designated as strategic priorities, allowing for expedited permitting and support. This lays the foundation for the shipping industry to play a central role in the hydrogen economy. #Container #Shipping #Maritime #ContainerShipping #ContainerMarket #Newbuild #Newbuilding #Hydrogen #HydrogenShip #ICS #InternationalChamberofShipping #Sustainability #SustainabilityManagement #NetZero #EnvironmentalRegulation https://lnkd.in/es347DSY
