We are pleased to announce that our research paper entitled “Operator’s Perspective on 6G: 6G Services, Vision, and Spectrum” will be published in the IEEE Communications Magazine, one of the most prestigious magazines in the communications sector that is published by the IEEE. From a telecommunications service provider’s perspective, our paper explains key components in realizing the vision of 6G wireless communications, including AI, sensing, and frequency. In particular, the paper highlights the importance of integrating AI to optimize 6G network performance and to enhance both resource management and customer experience. At the same time, SKT is focusing on securing research and technology for Telco Edge AI infrastructure, a technology that will be critical for next-generation infrastructure. Look for the full research paper when it’s published in late August.

The O-RAN Alliance F2F meeting was held in Korea, hosted by SKT supporting with ORIA(Open RAN Industry Alliance), TTA(Telecommunications Technology Association) The Alliance is a global organization leading the standardization of open RAN technology, with more than 300 companies worldwide. At O-RAN 6G Workshop, held under the theme 'The Road to 6G Standards', SKT presented the evolution of the next infrastructure and the importance of Telco Edge AI infrastructure as a core technology.

We are pleased to announce that we've been awarded the IEEE Milestone for our 1996 commercialization of CDMA achieved in collaboration with the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics. The AI Seoul Summit 2024 was held in Seoul on the 21 and 22 May 2024. The Summit was co-hosted by the Governments of Korea and the UK, bringing together international governments, AI companies, academia, and civil society to advance discussions on AI. At the ministerial session held on the second day, our CEO gave a presentation on building sustainable and reliable AI.

We announced our earnings for the first quarter of 2024. We sustained our revenue growth backed by strong performance of the mobile and fixed telecommunications business and enterprise business. We're excited to share that Ifland, our metaverse service, is expanding rapidly into the Southeast Asian market. We've recently signed publishing agreements with CelcomDigi Berhad, Malaysia’s largest mobile network operator, and Cherry, an IoT platform company in the Philippines. These agreements reaffirm our dedication to delivering tailored metaverse experiences for users in Southeast Asia. Collaborating closely with our partners, we'll prioritize local brand partnerships, specialized marketing, and initial customer support to ensure a seamless transition for users. Additionally, we're gearing up to introduce new AI features within Ifland – such as social AI agents (Non-player characters) and 3D AI studio that are optimized for each language and culture - to further enrich the user experience. In the coming months, we'll be adding support for languages including Malay, Indonesian, Hindi, and Spanish to enhance accessibility and inclusivity. Moreover, we're launching a curation feature that recommends content customized to the characteristics of each region, offering a personalized and engaging experience for users worldwide.
