Revolutionizing #Traffic #Management: Seoul Robotics Introduces its First LiDAR-Controlled Intersection in the U.S. 🚦 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝗨𝘁𝗮𝗵 🚦 We’re thrilled to announce a major milestone in traffic technology—Seoul Robotics has successfully launched its first U.S. intersection controlled by #LiDAR technology, located at State Street and 5900 South in Murray, Utah. This project, in collaboration with the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), leverages our advanced 3D #Perception Engine to control the intersection. The system allows to detect road users at the intersection with a high degree of accuracy by creating a digital twin on the entire site. The data is then used to inform the traffic #controller of their presence. ⏱️ 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 ⏱️ Our non-invasive system was installed successfully without major disruptions, demonstrating our dedication to efficiency and public convenience. Since its launch in March 2024, the system has operated flawlessly, showcasing significant improvements in traffic flow and vehicle counting #accuracy of 99.8%. 🚴 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗨𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘀 🚴 Beyond managing traffic flow, our technology enhances safety by anonymously tracking pedestrians and cyclists at curbsides and crosswalks, allowing traffic engineers to enhance tomorrow’s operations, build safer intersections for #Vulnerable Road Users, paving the way for #smarter crossing solutions, and adapt greenlight times to diverse #mobility needs. 🌐 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝗨𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 🌐 This project was a collaborative effort with our partners at Gades Sales Co., Inc. and BLUE-BAND LLC, and the support of the UDOT.
