#DLChemical Townhall Meeting    Yesterday we held a townhall meeting at the head office with over 100 colleagues including CEO Kim and the management team.   The event offered all of us an opportunity to understand where we are now and more importantly where we are headed as CEO Kim shared with us business targets as a ‘technology driven specialty company.’

Workplace safety should never be taken for granted   The goal of safety communication is to help every employee to internalize the importance of workplace safety and act accordingly.   As part of our commitment to safety communication, we held a safety idea contest in late March. We received about 300 safety ideas from our colleagues; we turned the best ideas into actual visual aids including banners, stickers and posters to constantly remind employees that their well-being is our top priority.

DL Chemical Compliance Day   #DLChemical has been strongly committed to fostering a culture of workplace ethics and compliance ever since the establishment.   Yesterday, we held a Compliance Day event at the head office with about 80 #DLC colleagues including CEO JH Kim to jointly celebrate our efforts to continue to promote the culture across the organization.

Strong commitment to the local community   The Hansup Volunteer team carried out their 81st voluntary program on May 25; a group of 15 #DLC employees from #Yeosu Plant helped 10 female households with moving into new homes in collaboration with Yeosu Center for Human Rights of Women.   With a strong commitment to the local community, the volunteer team gather four times a year to support the underprivileged. 👍

D.SYNOL and D.SYNOL PLUS, DLC’s VM products   We are glad to announce that we are partaking in the #STLE (Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers) exhibition held from May 20th to 22nd to introduce to global clients our viscosity modifier products D.SYNOL and D.SYNOL PLUS.   What’s more exciting is, Dr. Kim Hoon from the Lubricant Tech Team is going to give a presentation in the Commercial Market Forum from 09:00 to 09:20 on May 20th as he is going to thoroughly talk about ‘Engineered Ethylene-Propylene Copolymer System with High Performance Capability: Beyond Conventional OCP.   #DLChemical is the first company in the world to have successfully commercialized Ethylene Propylene Copolymer in liquid form with metallocene catalyst. Q1 was off to a great start for us. In the first quarter of this year, the #DLChemical group turned over KRW 1.2297 trillion with the operating profit of KRW 117.8 billion, up 9.9% and 540% from the same period of last year respectively.   Since the establishment, we have been making a great deal of effort to transform our business into a technology-driven specialty company in order to create differentiated extra values for our clients. And we believe that our revamped product portfolio is beginning to prove that we are on the right path.   Great products speak louder than words
