We’ve been working with UNESCO Cambodia to give struggling students a second chance to complete their secondary education and take a different pathway to a bright future. “It was like standing at the edge of the apocalypse, staring into the abyss. That was the single most impactful moment of my life." When Scott N. found himself standing on a garbage dump in Cambodia, watching thousands of children picking through the piles of trash to survive, his own life was about to go through a seismic shift. He quit his high-powered Hollywood job and lifestyle and moved to Phnom Penh to establish the Cambodian Children's Fund to give impoverished children and families the hope of a better life. 20 years later, Scott talks to the Daily Mail about that life-changing decision and why he's still in Cambodia with no regrets. #20YearsofCCF #transforminglives #Cambodia https://ow.ly/b4k550SC2fi

For the past 14 years, we’ve received perfect scores from the largest independent charity evaluator, Charity Navigator. Four stars, the highest possible, are given to exceptional organizations who “exceed industry standards and out-perform most charities in its cause.” Because of this, we have been nominated for a Community Choice Award, which is voted for by our dedicated supporters like you. Your votes are a testament to our shared commitment and the impact we can make together. Help us and vote for CCF. cnvgt.org/3xnV0PD The first round of voting runs from July 8 to 17, and we need to finish in the top three to become a finalist. Your vote, which takes just a few seconds, will significantly boost our chances of winning. Every vote counts, and we need yours! In 2016, just 51 of the 8,000 organizations reviewed by Charity Navigator with their new assessment structure received a perfect 100% score like CCF, meaning CCF is in the top 1% of charities anywhere in the world. #CharityNavigator #4StarRating #20YearsofCCF

After a last hug with her mum, CCF student Vouchnea yesterday headed off to begin the next chapter of her life with a scholarship to study in Australia. Vouchnea, 17, became our 11th student to win a full scholarship to Trinity College, part of the prestigious University of Melbourne. It was a bittersweet moment as Vouchnea, an only child, left Cambodia for the first time in her life with her mum and close friends at the airport to say goodbye. “I’m so excited but nervous. It’s my first time flying. I am going to miss my mum and Cambodia, but I’m looking forward to experiencing a new lifestyle and culture,” said Vouchnea. Her mum, a widow, said: “I am so proud of my daughter. I told her to work hard and be happy.” Good luck Vouchnea! #CCF #Keeplearningmore #BrightTheFuture

We are thrilled to announce that, thanks to a generous donation, we are able to provide children living in one of the most impoverished areas of Cambodia with the opportunity to participate in the sport of climbing in their own community. A 4.5 metre bouldering wall will be constructed in an existing CCF playground opposite our Neeson Cripps Academy high school in the heart of Steung Meanchey. Before work began, we held a traditional Buddhist blessing at a groundbreaking ceremony to bestow good luck on the building, the workers, and the project. Our older students are already enjoying the thrill of climbing and bouldering at Phnom Penh Community Gym. Having our own wall will allow more children to experience a sport they would never get a chance to try. Providing opportunities for physical and mental growth that sports can offer is an essential part of education, empowering children with new skills such as teamwork and building their confidence. We can’t wait to see our students conquer new heights! Stay tuned for more updates. #BuildingOpportunities #EmpoweringStudents #GratefulGesture
