    A glance at the Team Kenya awards gala where elegance met glamour in every step taken to celebrate our heroes and legends of Paris 2024 Olympics. #TeamKenya put us on the map during the #Paris2024 games. As the curtain came down on Paris 2024, Kenya came out as the most successful African country with 11 podium finishes. During the dinner, #TeamKenya extended their gratitude for the resources that propelled our athletes towards Paris.     As we continue taking our services closer to our customers, this week, led by our Chief Financial Services Officer Esther Masese Waititu, we were pleased to open two new Safaricom Franchise Shops in the Rift Region. In Nakuru, we opened the Pace Connect Safaricom Franchise Shop together with the General Manager Jacquline Mbala. The outlet is set to enhance service delivery to area residents. In Kericho, we officially opened the new Bon Voyage Safaricom Franchise Shop, joined by the shop's Operations Manager, Jackline Chepkirui. This is part of our efforts to roll out over 1,000 Francise Shops countrywide to serve customers better by bringing our services closer to the customer.

    #SafaricomHook is proud to support the 7th Annual Young Scientists Kenya National Science & Technology Exhibition through a KES 3 million sponsorship. This includes cash and in-kind support such as smartphones, merchandise and airtime for winners. Through our Women in Tech (WIT) and M-PESA Go platforms, we will also be helping students build tech careers and financial literacy skills. Since 2018, we have partnered with Young Scientists Kenya to inspire and empower young minds to pursue STEM, and we are happy to once again be part of this year’s exhibition, which is running at the Edge Convention Centre until 23rd August 2024.     Meet Naomi Mbithe Muli, a teacher by profession and the new millionaire in Machakos! Congratulations to Naomi the lucky winner of KES 1,000,000!
