The Hashgraph Association, a Swiss-based organization, has announced a strategic partnership with Adanian Labs, a pan-African smart technology company, and the Africa Blockchain Center. This collaboration aims to empower over 3000 Web3 developers across Africa through the DLT Africa Regional Developer Program. The program will provide participants with the latest Web3 industry knowledge and best practices, focusing on blockchain and distributed ledger technology (DLT), particularly the Hedera network.
The Hashgraph Association will offer access to industry knowledge and global trends, while Adanian Labs will contribute its expertise in smart technologies and program development. The Africa Blockchain Centre will provide regional context, facilitate student outreach, and help participants understand how blockchain can address challenges in Africa.
Kamal Youssefi, President of the Hashgraph Association, emphasized the importance of this partnership in empowering African youth and fostering a digital future. The program targets tech-savvy students in Kenya, Nigeria, Malawi, Rwanda, and South Africa, who will receive certifications as Hedera-Certified Developers upon completion.
The program will culminate in a hackathon across the five countries, where participants can showcase their skills and compete for prizes and resources to support their blockchain projects. Winners will also have the opportunity to participate in an Entrepreneur Exchange Program with Switzerland.
Bendon Murgor, CTO of Adanian Labs, highlighted the program's role in fostering technological innovation and talent development in Africa.
Jeff M., CEO of the Africa Blockchain Centre, expressed excitement about building a Web3-savvy workforce across the continent.
Applications for the program are now open to qualified students in Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa. Interested parties can find more information on the Adanian Labs website or their social media platforms.
