Job Title: MS SQL Server Database Developer & Admin  Location: Nairobi (Local Candidates Only) Your Role in a Nutshell: Calling all Nairobi-based database pros! We’re on the lookout for a talented SQL Server Developer & Admin to manage and optimize our databases. Database Admin Duties: - Maintenance Mode: Regularly perform backups, indexing, and integrity checks for database health. - Performance Tuning: Fine-tune queries and server configurations for maximum efficiency. - Security Guardian: Manage access control, encryption, and auditing to secure sensitive data. - Disaster Ready: Plan and execute disaster recovery strategies to keep operations running smoothly. - Troubleshooter: Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues. - Future-Proof: Plan for database growth and resource needs. - Team Player: Collaborate with developers, support, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless application operations. What You Bring: - 3 years of experience in SQL Server development and administration. - Strong in T-SQL, SSIS, and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS). - Solid background in database design, performance tuning, and optimization. - Experience in fintech or financial solutions? That's a major plus! Tech Stack: - Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server (2016 and above). - Deep understanding of database security principles, encryption, and access control. - Experience with SSRS, SSAS, and cloud-based databases like Azure SQL or AWS RDS for SQL Server is a bonus. - Familiar with Git for managing database code.
