Controls

The Arrow Keys steer the characters around the screen.

Z is used to refuse/go back.

X is used to accept offers and use potions.

CTRL  R is used to reset the cart.

Rules

During gameplay, the player takes control of the whole party moving around the map. Every Party Member represents one heart - if all the Party Members die, it's a Game Over.

Each round is cleared by killing all the enemies until they stop spawning. To win the game, the Party must reach Round 10 to conquer Goblin Castle and win the Underworld War.

MOVEMENT

All the characters receive the same player input, but each character moves separately. Guide them through the levels to go around obstacles and to dodge enemy attacks.

ATTACKING THE ENEMY

Goblin will appear from left and right, moving across the screen and stopping before firing an arrow.

To kill an enemy, one of the characters has to touch the enemy. Every enemy kill will award the player some gold. 

GETTING ATTACKED

Goblins will charge an arrow and fire it across the screen. If an arrow touches a character, that character dies. 

Goblins will telegraph their arrow shot by stopping before firing.

Intermission

Between rounds, the player will encounter locations the Party has stumbled upon.

VILLAGE

A peaceful village not touched by war. 

For 50 gold, the player can hire another Adventurer to join the Party. It will become necessary to replenish the ranks.

CATHEDRAL

A dark place where life is sacrificed for power.

At the cost of 2 Party Members, the player can receive a Potion of Invincibility. A trade-off between more Hearts and an useful Item.

Cathedrals will appear only twice during the game.

Behind The Scenes

As I write this I am incredibly tired. But I am also very proud!

It's a very difficult, hardcore game, but I feel like I've really accomplished something interesting in here.
