https://lnkd.in/gqpKdQtX Do you know "Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers?" I am strongly against this organization as a music lover and creator. Why? They charge your business entities when you play music for customers under the name of copyright. If you just play music for your customers as background music at bars, restaurants, shops, or anywhere, they charge a fee. Besides, they charge all music teachers including piano instructors for their lessons. Musicians cannot earn as much money as that in other countries under the name of copyright. We need to replace such a dysfunctional organization with an organization friendly to musicians, authors, composers, publishers, and music lovers. This is one of the biggest reasons why the Japanese music industry has been filled with so-called idol groups. They are not paid well but can be used as commercial products for the companies. Terrible 😞

"Remodeling Japanese Archipelago" Published(1972) On 11 June 1972, then Minister of Trade and Industry Kakuei Tanaka announced his 'Theory of Japanese Archipelago Remodelling'. This was proposed as a de facto pledge of the government during the ruling Liberal Democratic Party's presidential election on 5 July that year. A book was published under the same name by the Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun, which became a bestseller with 910,000 copies sold. The then Prime Minister Eisaku Sato had signed the Okinawa Reversion Agreement the previous year and was contemplating succession. Four candidates stood for the post: Takeo Miki, Kakuei Tanaka, Masayoshi Ohira and Takeo Fukuda (San-Kaku- Dai-Fuku). Prime Minister Sato considered Fukuda as his successor, but Tanaka, who was popular among the people, won the presidential race next month. The "Remodelling Theory" moved towards its realisation in the Tanaka cabinet. https://lnkd.in/gUfdd3jD The main aim of the 'remodelling' was to spread the fruits of high economic growth to the regions. The idea was to link the Japanese archipelago with a high-speed transport network of highways, bullet trains, and the Honshu-Shikoku bridges, and to promote the industrialisation of the countryside. These ideas were based on Tanaka's own experiences, according to his daughter Makiko. The politician had lived in a rural area with deep snow where doctors could not come, and two of his four younger sisters died of illness. On the other hand, the project was also criticised for spreading pollution, which was serious. Atomic Bomb Dome to Preserve Permanently(1966) On 11 July 1966, the Hiroshima City Council passed a resolution requesting the permanent preservation of the Atomic Bomb Dome. The building was built in 1915 as the Hiroshima Prefectural Products Exhibition Hall designed by Czech architect Jan Letzl. It is a three-storey brick building, the part with the dome is a five-storey stairwell. The building was later renamed the Hiroshima Prefectural Industrial Promotion Building, and from 1944 it was also used as the government offices, including the Chugoku-Shikoku Civil Engineering Sub-Branch of the Ministry of Home Affairs. When the atomic bomb was dropped on 6 August 1945, the Industrial Promotion Building, which was located at a close distance of approximately 160 metres from the hypocentre, was also destroyed and burnt to the ground. All those working inside were killed instantly. The building miraculously escaped collapse because the blast hit the building almost vertically from above. The disc-shaped steel frame on the roof of the stairwell was exposed and became known as the Atomic Bomb Dome because of its shape. There were calls for the building to be demolished as a reminder of the horrific damage it had caused, and the campaign to preserve it began in earnest when it became known that a young girl who was exposed to the bomb at the age of one and died of leukaemia 15 years later had written in her diary: 'Only that painful Industrial Promotion Hall will forever remind future generations of the horrific atomic bombing'.
