At Santen, we formulate disease strategies by comprehensively considering the kinds of therapeutic methods and services based on unmet needs and the maturity of technologies. Our core focus areas are Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD), Allergy, Dry Eye and Glaucoma. Our efforts in innovation include new disease areas of myopia and ptosis.

Santen conducts drug discovery and clinical development on a global basis, utilizing facilities of the Santen Group and related organizations. Our R&D operations comprise the Nara R&D Center in Japan and teams which spans the US, Asia and Europe. We have strategic collaborations with external organizations globally such as the Singapore Eye Research Institute.
