We invited Professor Shuji Tanaka of Tohoku University Graduate School to the Miyazaki Plant of LAPIS Semiconductor, a ROHM Group company, to give a lecture and hold a technical exchange meeting with our employees! Professor Tanaka is a leading expert in the MEMS field and has extensive consulting experience in joint development with companies and foundries. The exchange meeting was a great success, with participating employees commenting that they were very stimulated by the opportunity to grasp the technological trends in the market.

🏃♂️💨 What a day! Together as team ROHM, we laced up our shoes for the RUN & FUN Krefeld company run this week. The team spirit was palpable in every smile and every motivating shout. [News] ROHM has announced the adoption of power modules equipped with 4th generation SiC MOSFET bare chips for the traction inverters in three models of ZEEKR EV brand from Zhejian Geely Holding Group (Geely), a top 10 global automaker. Since 2023, these power modules have been mass produced and shipped from HAIMOSIC (SHANGHAI) Co., Ltd. - a joint venture between ROHM and Zhenghai Group Co., Ltd. to Viridi E-Mobility Technology (Ningbo) Co., Ltd, a Tier 1 manufacturer under Geely. 🔻For more information, click here. https://lnkd.in/g6Sf5KJ6

The ROHM Group IT Summit was held over two days, bringing together 103 IT professional employees from Japan and abroad! On the first day, the IT policies of the entire ROHM Group were shared. Awards were given to teams that proposed outstanding solutions. On the following day, activity reports on cyber security and DX initiatives were presented. A paper presented by a ROHM employee at Advanced Epitaxy for Freestanding Membranes and 2D Materials (AEFM2024) has been selected for the Poster Award. AEFM2024 is an international workshop focusing on technologies and applications of peelable epitaxial films and 2D materials, which play an important role in semiconductor miniaturization. The first meeting was held at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the United States in 2021, and this year's meeting was the fourth to be held at the University of Tokyo. ROHM has been utilizing remote epitaxy technology with peelable epitaxial films in the research and development of high-performance SiC composite substrates. In this research presentation, we reported the results and collected the latest information on this technology. On August 2, 2024, ROHM received the "Chubu-Kinki Industrial Safety and Inspection Department Kinki Branch Director Award" from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, a Japanese government agency. The award was given in recognition of the results of ROHM's efforts to ensure a safe power supply, particularly the prevention of electric shock and spillover accidents, and the thorough implementation of flooding countermeasures.
